At Ascend we believe that assessment is an ongoing and fluid process. We're continually gathering new information and data to formulate and update your treatment plan to best meet your needs, both when you start treatment and as your needs evolve during treatment.

The assessment process starts with a comprehensive intake. You'll participate in a structured clinical interview with one of our licensed professionals. If possible, we'll interview your family members as well so that we have as much relevant information as possible.

After the clinical interview, you'll complete the asessment tools most relevant to your specific situation. Examples include the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) and the Novoco Anger Scale and Provocation Inventory (NAS PI). These assessments provide you and your therapist with valuable insight into your strengths and needs.

After compiling and analyzing all of the information gathered during the assessment process, you and your therapist will collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your specific requirements and priorities.

We'll jointly review the treatment plan regularly, and modify it as needed, to ensure that interventions are targeting the areas of most importance to your overall wellbeing.
